AIG received the Celent award for its distribution-focused policy fulfillment platform supporting the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) market segment in five countries

eBaoTech, a leading software provider for the life and property & casualty insurance industry, announced that its client, AIG, has been named a Model Insurer in Celent’s Model Insurer Asia 2013: Case Studies of Effective Technology Use in Insurance report.

AIG APAC was awarded the Celent Model Insurer 2013 award in the Policy Administration category for its distribution platform supporting the SME market in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Hong Kong. The underlying solution is eBaoTech Collaborus, a full policy lifecycle insurance distribution platform. With this new solution, AIG was able to streamline processes, implement best practices across the region, and provide a higher level of service to prospects and existing clients.

“AIG’s SME-focused distribution platform is noteworthy in its ability to function across multiple countries with different languages, currencies, compliance requirements, etc,” noted Ms. Wenli Yuan, Celent analyst and report author. “This project illustrates how an insurance company can serve a market segment well and optimize business practices through careful planning and close collaboration with an experienced software vendor.”

“AIG APAC’s achievement is outstanding, as their winning of the Celent 2013 Model Insurer Award demonstrates,” said Ken Slevin, eBaoTech corporate vice president and general manager of Collaborus and Australia Business Unit. “eBaoTech congratulates AIG on their business success in so many countries, and is pleased to have been part of this successful implementation.
