eBaoTech® SalesPlatform is a best-of-breed front-end system to address multi-distribution needs, providing a modern platform to support rapid business growth, for both life insurance and non-life insurance. It can either be adopted as part of eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite and GeneralSystem Suite, or adopted as a stand-alone system coexisting with the insurer’s existing back-end systems.
Two Adoption Scenarios
- eBaoTech SalesPlatform as an integrated module in LifeSystem and GeneralSystem Suites
In this implementation scenario, SalesPlatform is pre-integrated with the back-end components in the eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite or eBaoTech GeneralSystem Suite, and all insurance products defined in other modules are automatically available to the SalesPlatform software module with minor modifications. - eBaoTech SalesPlatform as a standalone module
This deployment model allows insurers to utilize the SalesPlatform capabilities without having to replace their legacy back-end systems. Insurers can leverage SalesPlatform as a unified front-end system to support their full sales cycle, and then pass data to existing Policy Administration systems (one or more) for back-office processing. In this scenario, insurance products must be defined on both eBaoTech SalesPlatform and existing Policy Administration systems during the software implementation.

SalesPlatform for General Insurance
Both traditional channels such as brokers and agencies, and emerging channel users such as banks and call centers, benefit with the SalesPlatform for general insurance which enables them to quickly provide quotes with a superior user experience, and issue the policy directly with authorization. SalesPlatform improves sales productivity dramatically, and with the capability to run on the iPad, it has become the favorite with channels.
SalesPlatform also supports direct business (B2C) and web affinity business (B2B2C). It can be easily embedded into third party web sites and adapted to the affinity company’s design with logo change, skin change, etc.
- Quotation
SalesPlatform gives channel users and customers real-time “quote-to-bind” functions with built-in calculation and underwriting rules. Several plan options can be presented to clients to help them choose the best insurance plan. - Submission & Policy Issuance
Once a policy option has been chosen, the policy can be issued immediately. In payment, both lump sum payment and installment are supported. For B2C business, online payment
through credit card is supported. - Auto Underwriting & Manual Underwriting
By checking auto underwriting rules, quotations can be provided in real time for those cases that meet underwriting criteria. The failed cases will be routed to an underwriter for manual pricing. - Sales Automation Applications
Besides quotation & policy enquiry function, Dashboard & basic reports are provided for channel users to track their sales performance and commission. Corporate agency managers also can maintain their own branch hierarchy and user accounts by themselves. - My Account Management
The software supports customer’s online registration and provides “my account” management to retrieve pending quotes, enquiry policies, and manage user accounts. - Product Definition, Rule Engine, and Formula Engine
A set of configuration tools, including Product Definition (PD), Rule Management System (RMS), Formula Management System (FMS), User Interface Configuration System (UIC) are provided to enable business departments to quickly define insurance products. - Perfect Integration Capability

Sales Automation applications provide some general CRM capabilities to enable sales people to maintain prospects, manage sales activities, and track their sales performance and commission. - Field Enabling Applications
Through Field Enabling applications, insurers can quickly set up channels in the system, including users, organization hierarchy, and authorization. In later releases, some additional features will be provided to streamline the collaboration between insurers and their channels such as document uploading/downloading, leads distribution, and training management. - Product Definition, Rule Engine, and Formula engine
