ACE Life Insurance (using eBaoTech LifeSystem suite in 9 countries)
ACE Life is part of the ACE Group of Companies, a leader in the global insurance and reinsurance markets with a presence in 50 countries and over US$16 billion in premiums worldwide, headquartered in the US. In 2005 ACE Life decided to rapidly expand its life business across emerging markets, and wanted to use technology to enable a rapid and efficient rollout across several markets.
ACE Life selected eBaoTech LifeSystem as the core policy administration system for their new businesses in China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand, Indonesia and Brazil. ACE Life also selected eBaoTech GroupLife for their new group insurance businesses in Brazil and Mexico. The flexibility of eBaoTech’s product line has provided ACE with a strategic advantage in starting up these new businesses.

ACE Life Insurance (using eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite in 9 countries)
ACE General Insurance (Japan)
ACE Group is a leader in the global insurance and reinsurance markets, with a presence in more than 50 countries and over 16 Billion USD in premiums worldwide, headquartered in the US.
ACE Life Insurance has chosen eBaoTech as the global provider of life insurance core policy administration platforms. To date, eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite has been implemented in ACE Life’s operations in China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Egypt, UAE, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico and Brazil. ACE Life has also selected eBaoTech GroupLife Suite for their new group insurance business in Brazil and Mexico.

In Japan, ACE General Insurance has 90 years of experience through its acquired companies, the longest among all foreign insurers in Japan. ACE Japan had net premiums of 18.6 billion yen in fiscal 2011.
ACE Japan selected eBaoTech GeneralSystem as the core policy administration system for its new agency system to be used by independent agencies. The new agency system provides quotation, new business, endorsement and renewal functions, agency client management functionality for agencies, and the interface to the back-end policy administration system. The project went live in July 2011.

AEGON China JV
AEGON-CNOOC is a joint venture between China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and AEGON, the Netherlands' second largest provider of pensions and fifth largest life insurer.
With its headquarters in Shanghai, AEGON-CNOOC has branch offices in Beijing, Jiangsu, Shandong and many other provinces across China. To support its rapid expansion in China, in October 2009, AEGON-CNOOC chose eBaoTech LifeSystem to manage its group life insurance products. The system went into production in June 2010, supporting the sales operations of more than 20 group life products.

Ageas (former Fortis Hong Kong)
Ageas is one of Hong Kong's largest life insurance companies with a rich tradition. Ageas offers both individual and institutional customers a broad range of financial protection products and wealth management services to match their needs. eBaoTech LifeSystem was selected as the core system to replace its legacy software and support the established business in Hong Kong. The installation successfully went live on January 1, 2008 for business operation after system modification to meet Hong Kong’s local requirements and support FICA’s predominantly agency-based business model.

AIG
Ally Financial (China)
Ally Financial (previously GMAC Insurance) went live with its Extended Warranty Claim project in China using eBaoTech GeneralSystem on May 17, 2010. Product Premium Table-driven Interface function was launched in February 2012, to support new product and premium online definition smoothly and efficiently.
Ally Financial Inc. was founded in 1919 as the General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC), a provider of financing to automotive customers. Since then, the business has expanded to include insurance, direct banking, mortgage operations and commercial finance. Ally Financial established a car service company in China called Shanghai First Response. It is one of the first companies in China to provide Extended Warranty Services to car owners in collaboration with major auto manufacturers in China. In June 2008, an extended warranty system went live, designed to be easy-to-use by business users and partners. The system is hosted by eBaoTech using an application service provider (ASP) model. The Claim module added in May 2010 optimizes and improves the existing services, which are now available throughout China.
Argo (UK & US)
In 2010, Argo International, a member of Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. sought a single solution provider who could provide a modern software platform with flexible technology to support their numerous general insurance product lines and diverse channels to market. They required a vendor who could work with them globally to support their plans for growth across many markets.
Argo conducted an extensive search to find the software solutions provider that best fit their growth plans for each of their target markets. They chose eBaoTech to provide a full end-to-end policy administration and claims processing solution with the capabilities to fulfill their requirements.
In June 2011, Argo UK began utilizing the eBaoTech GeneralSystem solution to support its global growth strategy through a series of phased implementations.

Argo (US & UK)

ASR (Netherlands)
ASR, formerly Fortis Insurance Netherlands, is the second largest non-life insurer in the Netherlands, with around 2.5 million insurance contracts under management. It operates a full-service product range sold primarily through brokers and agents.
In 2008, ASR decided to replace its legacy systems with the eBaoTech GeneralSystem solution. It decided first to develop a new unique product range to replace most existing personal line products with a new product family called Multi-Verzekering with more than 60 coverage options. In November 2009, eBaoTech GeneralSystem went live supporting this new business after integration to interface with more than 20 thirdparty systems. In the meantime, ASR has won awards for these innovative products, and continues to add new products and migrate older portfolios onto the new eBaoTech GeneralSystem platform.

Botswana Life
Botswana Life is a Sanlam subsidiary with about 70% market share in the life insurance market of Botswana, one of the economically most successful countries in Africa. Botswana Life started in autumn 2009 with the implementation of the eBaoTech LifeSystem. The goal is to replace the existing legacy system and to convert all existing policies to eBaoTech LifeSystem by end of 2010. Botswana Life is configuring the 80 different individual life insurance products in LifeSystem in-house, with limited support from eBaoTech consultants.

China United Property
China United is the fourth largest general insurance company in mainland China. Its Shanghai Branch began deploying the eBaoTech AutoClaim module in March 2005, followed by a nationwide rollout in March 2008. The eBaoTech AutoClaim module has proven to be robust, safe, reliable and scalable in the face of very large Claims volumes, enabling China United to expedite its claims handling and improve customer service.

CNP China JV
CNP Assurances has been the leading personal insurance company in France since 1991, with premium income of €32.6 billion in 2009. Sino-French Life Insurance is CNP’s China joint venture. CNP chose eBaoTech LifeSystem to support its China joint venture operation after a thorough evaluation of all major software solutions in the market. The eBaoTech LifeSystem was selected for its superior technology platform, functional flexibility, sophisticated rules-based product definition and innovative bank channel support. The entire solution was customized and implemented within four months.

Crédit Agricole (Japan)
Crédit Agricole Life Insurance Company Japan Ltd. entered the Japan life insurance market in 2006 to leverage its well-established retail presence and distribution relationships of Crédit Agricole Asset Management (CAAM). Initially, the operation focuses on developing variable annuity products to be sold through banks to leverage existing asset management services within CAAM. Crédit Agricole Life Japan offers variable annuity products and the newly implemented fixed annuity product with multi-currency features.
CA Life Japan selected eBaoTech’s LifeSystem solution as its policy administration backbone at the beginning of 2006. The rollout of the LifeSystem solution for production usage was completed by November 2007. eBaoTech LifeSystem helps CA Life Japan to cover the entire lifecycle of life insurance operations, including new business submission, underwriting, policy issuance, claims, billing, collection and payment, sales and marketing management, customer management, general ledger, and many supporting functions.

Ditzo (Netherlands)
Ditzo Netherlands, a subsidiary of ASR, is a successful new direct insurance start-up in the Netherlands, launched in 2008. Ditzo offers a comprehensive range of products and services through direct channels.
Before launch, Ditzo’s management decided that it needed a modern SOA-based solution to create a high level of process efficiency and 100% underwriting automation for its new business, on a platform that would easily integrate into its business-essential website. eBaoTech’s GeneralSystem was selected to quickly launch this business.
Ditzo went live after an implementation time of less than 6 months, launching 6 key products in Motor and Household. All sales and service processes are enabled online directly through the Ditzo website (www.ditzo.nl). In addition, Ditzo launched its online affinity platform running on eBaoTech GeneralSystem in April 2009.

Etiqa (Malaysia & Singapore)
Etiqa is the largest general insurer in Malaysia and a new brand of the joint venture of Malaysia National Insurance, Takaful group and Maybank Fortis in Malaysia. eTiQa manages millions of insurance contracts.
In view of the consolidation of different operating entities, Etiqa decided to standardize its general insurance business on a single platform supporting both General Insurance and Takaful.
The eBaoTech GeneralSystem solution went live in January 2010, replacing a large legacy system. This launch is an important milestone for Etiqa as it enables a single core system platform to support both Conventional and Takaful business models for retail and commercial lines.
The core system supports more than 220 products for both commercial and retail lines of business, and has been successfully integrated into existing third-party applications.

Great Eastern Life (using eBaoTech LifeSystem suite in 5 Asian countries)
Legacy replacement with eBaoTech LifeSystem.
Great Eastern Life is the leading domestic life insurer in Singapore and Malaysia, with over 2.4 million policyholders and more than 4 million individual in-force policies.
Great Eastern implemented eBaoTech LifeSystem in Singapore and Malaysia to replace its legacy systems and migrated millions of policies onto eBaoTech’s platform. Great Eastern's choice of eBaoTech as a partner for this critical project demonstrates confidence in our products and implementation capabilities. Implementation of eBaoTech LifeSystem in the Singapore and Malaysia operations is completed and future plans call for the roll-out of eBaoTech solutions to its other Asian businesses.
Great Eastern Life’s China joint venture, launched in 2006, also uses eBaoTech LifeSystem as its core insurance platform.

Korea Life (Vietnam)
Korea Life Insurance Co. Limited is the 2nd largest insurance company in Korea, and they launched their new Life business in Vietnam in 2010.
Korea Life Insurance Vietnam successfully launched this business by deploying the eBaoTech LifeSystem on April 1, 2010. Immediately after launch, a large number of policies were issued within a few days, proving the robust quality of LifeSystem. This launch marks one of the significant milestones in Korea Life Insurance’s 60-year history as its first foray into an overseas venture. It is also the first Korean life insurer to start up business in Vietnam and the first overseas business entirely owned by a Korean life insurer. In addition, this was eBaoTech’s first installation in Vietnam.

Ji Xiang Life (China)
Ji Xiang Life Insurance was founded with China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) approval on July 22, 2011. It is a national life insurance company with a registration capital of RMB 11.5 billion, and is the first insurance company headquartered in Hunan province. The insurer has nine large enterprise investors.
In 2011, Ji Xiang Life selected eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite to run its future individual life insurance business. With eBaoTech’s standards-based and highly automated policy administration system, Ji Xiang is able to quickly and efficiently launch new products, add sales channels and adapt to changing market needs.

Liberty Mutual (China)
Liberty International is the 2nd largest US-based Property & Casualty company in the world. Liberty established its Chongqing Branch in November 2003 in China. In October 2007, the Liberty Mutual
Chongqing Branch selected eBaoTech Claim Automation System (now called eBaoTech GeneralClaim module) to replace its legacy claims system. In addition to providing a multi-language web interface, the
system makes many operations easier and faster, including opening, changing, and closing claim reserves; task escalation; damage photos uploads, etc. During the past three years, eBaoTech has enhanced the system to meet additional custom requirements such as management rules, new operational efficiency metrics and independent party access.

National Insurance (India)
National Insurance Company Ltd (NIC) is one of the leading public sector insurance companies of India, and is among the top 3 insurers offering non life insurance. It has more than 10 million customers on its legacy platforms (as of 2010).
NIC selected HCL as its implementation partner together with eBaoTech GeneralSystem as its core policy administration system in October 2008 to support Motor, Marine, Fire & Engineering and all other general insurance lines of business. Phase one of the project went live in November 2011. The second implementation phase to roll out eBaoTech GeneralSystem to NIC’s 1000 branches is underway. The transition from NIC’s legacy policy administration system to eBaoTech GeneralSystem enables NIC to move from the previously decentralized and highly manual processes to a seamlessly integrated and highly automated core insurance system that serves all branches.

NIPPONKOA (China)
NIPPONKOA Insurance Company (China) Limited is a new subsidiary of NIPPONKOA Insurance, Japan’s third-oldest non-life insurance provider, and ranks as one of the largest in the world.
NIPPONKOA selected eBaoTech GeneralSystem as its core policy administration system and launched the China operation in September 2009.
eBaoTech GeneralSystem is helping NIPPONKOA to cover the entire lifecycle of general insurance operations, including quotation and new business submission, underwriting, policy issuance, endorsement
and service, renewal, claims, reinsurance, billing, collection and payment, sales and marketing management, customer management, and many supporting functions. With the availability of a highly
configurable and flexible Rating, Formula and Workflow engine, GeneralSystem makes it easy for NIPPONKOA to quickly launch products.

NTUC Income (Singapore)
NTUC Income is one of Singapore's largest insurers with an annual premium income of around USD 2 billion.
NTUC Income and eBaoTech successfully implemented eBaoTech LifeSystem and eBaoTech GeneralSystem solutions in Singapore, including the integration to legacy systems and the data migration of more than one million contracts. Now both NTUC Income's life and general insurance operations are running on one integrated platform, providing efficient straight through processing workflow, high flexibility and a fully customer-centric view. NTUC Income has won numerous awards, in particular for its world-class call center, which is integrated with eBaoTech applications.

PICC Life (China)
PICC Life is a life insurance joint venture between PICC Holdings, Sumitomo Life Insurance of Japan, Asia Financial Holdings and Bangkok Bank, established in 2005.
PICC Life’s stated goal was to combine PICC's brand and management base with Sumitomo's methods and technology and Bangkok Bank's experience in selling insurance products through a bank network. This challenging task required a highly scalable and proven system. PICC Life signed the agreement in April 2005 to license eBaoTech LifeSystem and eBaoTech AgentOffice (now SalesPlatform). It opened for business in November 2005 using eBaoTech’s systems. Currently, more than 4 million policies have been created and managed on eBaoTech LifeSystem.

Samsung Life China JV
Samsung Air China is a joint venture between Samsung Life Insurance Company of Korea and Air China Group. Samsung Life is a leading insurance company in Korea with more than 45% market share.
After an intensive evaluation, Samsung Air China Life selected eBaoTech LifeSystem to manage its back office operations and selected eBaoTech AgentOffice (now SalesPlatform) to take full advantage of eBaoTech product features and capabilities. The system went live in May 2005.

Sequislife (Indonesia)
Sequislife was established in Jakarta in 1984 and now has over 250,000 policies, 7,000 salespeople, and over 216 sales offices across Indonesia. Since the very beginning, the company has shown a strong commitment to establishing international life insurance standards for its customers.
In 2011, Sequislife selected eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite to support its unit-linked and traditional life insurance product lines. Their business objective was to dramatically improve customer service and put Sequislife Insurance at the forefront of Indonesia’s life insurance market. In September 2011, Phase 1 was completed after a short 9 month implementation. Phase 2 was completed in April, 2012. The new system, named the Intelligent Sequis Business Enterprise System (i-qUBE), now supports Sequislife’s investment-linked and traditional life businesses and includes a reinsurance module.

Swiss Life (Switzerland & Luxembourg)
The Swiss Life Group is one of Europe's leading providers of pension and life insurance solutions and a market leader in Switzerland, with important operations across Europe.
In 2005, Swiss Life decided to launch a new business focusing on wealthy clients out of Liechtenstein (now also operated from Singapore, Dubai and Luxembourg) and called it Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI). eBaoTech’s AssetLink was chosen as the technical foundation, with modifications to manage the specific structured life insurance products. Since inception, eBaoTech has supported this operation’s dramatic growth (including an acquisition with subsequent data migration) and now manages more than US$10 billion in assets with clients from around the world.

Taiping Life of China
Taiping Life is China’s fifth largest life insurer and one of its fastest growing, with almost 7 million policies and growth of close to one million new policies every year. Its headquarters are located in Shanghai, with over 23 branches and over 300 sub-branches across 16 provinces in China. Taiping’s business model is unique because it derives most of its premiums from banking partnerships, while running a highly centralized operation that facilitates rapid new branch expansion enabling distribution partners to sell to and serve customers.
Taiping Life has been using the eBaoTech LifeSystem solution to support the company's life insurance in China since its inception in December 2001. eBaoTech LifeSystem has supported the joint venture's individual and group business operations with a full range of products, providing solid support for their rapid product and geographic expansion. In a true partnership approach, eBaoTech has been supporting Taiping in its rapid expansion across China, utilizing technology to create the benchmark for efficient operations across China.

Taiwan Life China JV (King Dragon Life Insurance)
King Dragon Life Insurance (KDI), a joint venture between Taiwan Life Insurance and Xiamen C&D Corporation, launched its business with a grand opening on December 17, 2008. Teams from KDI and eBaoTech worked together successfully to complete the eBaoTech LifeSystem implementation project in eight months.
Two key features used by King Dragon Life are eBaoTech LifeSystem’s built-in automatic underwriting and calculation engines. They dramatically enhance the speed, accuracy and efficiency of underwriting. Moreover, the system provides a mobile solution for agent quotations, enabling agents to provide insurance quotations to customers anytime anywhere.

Tian An Life Insurance (China)
Established in November 2000, Tian An Life Insurance offers life, health and casualty insurance, retirement planning services, and more. It was formerly known as John Hancock Tian An Life China, a joint venture of U.S.-based John Hancock Insurance and China Tian An Insurance Company.

In 2011, Tian An Life Insurance selected LifeSystem Suite v3, the latest version of eBaoTech’s life insurance solution, to replace its legacy policy administration system and better meet the needs of its rapidly growing business. eBaoTech LifeSystem was selected for the following reasons: 1)its advanced technical architecture and high flexibility, 2) eBaoTech’s strong installation and operational track record in highly developed and demanding insurance markets, and 3) the long-term upgradability and cost advantages of this standards-based and productized policy administration system.
In November of 2011, Tian An Life launched its new policy administration system based on eBaoTech® LifeSystem Suite. The system currently manages the sales operations of about 20 new products in two branches. Over the next 12 months, Tian An Life will use eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite to gradually open more branches.

- The eBaoTech® SalesPlatform front-end solution was integrated with the LifeSystem Suite, enabling Tian An Life to manage sales operations from multiple channels on one platform, as well as automate many formerly manual processes

- The project was delivered with very high quality, with all Tian An branches passing with zero defect the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) inspections
WanaArtha Life (Indonesia)
WanaArtha Life is a national life insurance company that has served Indonesia for over 37 years. Since it was established in 1974, WanaArtha Life has undergone several name changes and has been officially known as Adisarana Life Insurance Company, more commonly recognized as WanaArtha Life since 1988.
In 2010, WanaArtha Life sought an insurance software platform that would enable it to quickly open more branches across Indonesia in a cost effective way. After serious evaluation, they selected the eBaoTech LifeSystem software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution to fulfill these needs.
The SaaS approach, because it does not require additional IT infrastructure, enabled WanaArtha Life to quickly implement the application software to support its investment-linked business nationwide.
In February 2011, WanaArtha Life began using its eBaoTech LifeSystem policy administration system, WALlink, for its employees to manage the investment-linked business in Jakarta. In May, 2011, they launched the WALlink investment-linked product on the eBaoTech LifeSystem SaaS platform to the public.

- Highlights how implementing a life insurance core system using a SaaS (software as a service) model enables an insurer to grow its business without additional onsite technical resources.
Yong An China
Yong An Insurance was founded in 1996 with its headquarters in Xi'an. Its Beijing Branch and Jiangsu Branch are the largest in terms of premium income and customer service. The eBaoTech AutoClaim
module (now part of eBaoTech GeneralClaim) handles all motor claim processes for both Beijing and Jiangsu Branches, and enables workflow control, business process management and improved customer
service.
Key characteristics:
- eBaoTech Claims module deployed as a standalone system
- System has full collaboration capability with claims adjusters, workshops and other third parties
